Where: VooDoo Lounge at Harrah’s North Kansas City, MO
This was a fun one–I love the lighting rig at this venue, hence my inability to narrow down the set to 20-30 photos like I usually do! Got to hear the upcoming single, “Gimme Heartbreak” again, as well as some of the other songs that were revived for the Race for Hope show here in DC earlier this month. If “The Chain” becomes a cover song mainstay on the setlist, I wouldn’t be mad.
Also, I guess you could say I had a photography assistant at this show. He said my 50-100mm lens would be good for shooting birds/wildlife photography. I would try shooting a tiger or something with it, but I don’t think I’d be alive to report back. 😉
(If anyone is interested in knowing why the lens is so big when it doesn’t really have a huge zoom range, it has to do with the constant f/1.8 aperture across the whole zoom range…wider aperture means a wider front glass element (from what I understand anyway…not an expert on the technicalities of lens structure), which means everything else has to be relatively big as well…a couple extra pounds are worth the low light performance and flexibility, though!)
Enjoy the photos, and as always, please do not crop out watermarks/re-upload without permission! 🙂
